Dilemma: Suddenly your mood theme isn't working right....
Solution: Replace All
1. So you may have noticed that your mood theme has suddenly disappeared. This time it isn't LJ that is the culprit but PhotoBucket. With the upgrade of their systems, the codes have changed. So currently what you are seeing is this:
2. Here is how to fix the problem. Go to Customer Journal Style>Display. My images are showing up here but it is likely yours are not. Click on the edit/create customer mood theme link.

4. In the editor is where I opened my add-on for FireFox called Find & Replace. Notice that my links (in this picture) start off i77? Before I changed them they all started off s77. So in Find What I put s77 and Replace with I put i77 and then hit replace all. Your number will definitely be different (or not a number at all) so in the Find What put s# (whatever number your links start with) and then in Replace with put in i# (whatever number your links start with).
I've had one example be smg to img so it isn't always a number. The really change is whatever is different in one direct link verses it in your Mood Theme Editor (below). In my case it was a number system but that might not be so for you. So check the circled section of the code in your MTE and your Direct link at PhotoBucket.
Now go to the bottom of this page and click save.
5. When you save you will be taken back to all your custom mood themes.

6. Click the title to view all the images for the mood them (mine is called Lost In Austen by red-temptation).
7. If all the images are showing up then you've successfully fixed your mood theme and can do it to all your mood themes in your personal account and on any communities you might run.

Date: 2013-03-12 12:11 am (UTC)I checked out your journal for images and the current mood theme you have and it seems like your direct links start with "i144" because this direct link takes me to one mood theme image.
http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r173/agameofthree/Mood%20Icons/scared.gif (http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r173/agameofthree/Mood%20Icons/scared.gif)
So if say your images in the Editor are coming up with direct links that say something like
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/r173/agameofthree/FOLDER/awake.gif
Then I would just change all the smg to i144.
Does this help?

Date: 2013-03-12 03:03 am (UTC)The mood that I am currently using (or should be) is of The Borgias. Here is the direct link to one of the moods. I still do not see a number that I can replace.

I don't even think the link you provided is from one of my Photobuckets. :/ ?

Date: 2013-03-12 10:39 pm (UTC)Anyways what I would suggest is instead of the smg at the beginning of all your links try img (like the like you sent me). Let me know if this works.

Date: 2013-03-22 09:42 am (UTC)Oh my God! You just saved my life! I love you!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Your solution magically fixed all four of my mood themes!
I love my mood themes and have difficulty loading them so when I noticed they weren't working I was like NO!!! I was hoping it was a LJ problem that would fix it self but no luck. A google search brought me back to you. You helped me with my layout last year. Thank you angel!
Before I found your fix I noticed something. My mood themes worked on explorer and my iphone but not on firefox. So I thought it was a firefox problem. Photobucket was to blame that makes a lot more sense.
Thank you a million times!

Date: 2013-03-22 06:29 pm (UTC)I'm so glad I could be of assistance. I do remember having to figure all this stuff out on my own and finally I just decided that there are others out there that need that help.
I do remember you username and I'm glad I could assist you then and now.
How odd. It has to be something with PhotoBucket. I didn't even think to check IE or an iPhone.

Date: 2013-11-28 12:01 am (UTC)I carefully read through the posts, but I hope I didn't miss if this question has been asked.
I'm using a custom layout and unfortunately it doesn't display moods. I've had a look at the css but there's no mention of anything to do with the moods, so I guess it just wasn't written.
Out of curiosity, do you know what I can do to remedy the situation?
I hope you can help ^^

Date: 2013-11-29 09:03 pm (UTC)If you remove it you'll see the moodtheme. I don't know much about customizing the meta section but it will definitely appear.
