In the above coding which is in the css I provided there is a margin setting:
margin: -20px 0px 10px -130px;

The numbers go top, right, bottom, left so -130 could be changed to -120 and it will get 10px closer to the posts because the "left" margin is not as far out.

Thanks for taking the time to help me with this...I will go and do that and let you know how it went! :D

EDITED: it worked *SEQUEL* and I found the reason why the default userpic wasn't centered as I kept the old coding from the pervious layout not realizing that you have changed the coding for the default coding. When I removed it, voila - centered!
