This community is to help me and others find ways to make their journals look how we want them too.

I wouldn't say I'm an expert at messing with layouts though I have figured out a lot about Flexible Squares. If you have a question please feel free to ask me by commenting below.

Couple Rules:

1. And example of your problem or what you want done to your journal.
2. Sometimes it can take me a little while to find the information asked for, so please be patient.
3. I don't do slash-y type things (ie headers). I can still provide you with a layout but then header would have to come from somewhere else.

LJ is dropping the ball a little and so community moderators aren't getting their comments. So if you don't hear back from me in a few days head over HERE to let me know if you need any help.

Okay. I think I'm stumped. The only thing I can think of is that you should make sure your using Flexible Squares when using my layout.

As for the bars at the bottom or top. I think this is because you are a plus account and they are trying to add advertisements. I would either go down to a Basic Account or I would try going into the advertisements and seeing if you can turn them off. I don't know if you can do this but I would check it out.

As for the edit tags. I don't know why it would disappear. I wonder if that has something to do with the ads or possibly the Template.... like I said make sure you are using Flexible Squares.

Let me know what happens.

AWWWWW YOU WERE RIGHT <33333 ´W`
I checked everything and did use flexible square and S2.
Nothing happend but after I turned the advertisement to 'vertical' instead of 'horizontal' the bars vanished <33 ´w` Oh, thank you <3 I didn't think of that xx

The tags are still vanished though... :< I tried using a usual flexible square but they're even there gone... ALSO I checked a post in a community I did: edit tags option gone! ftw??? But they're there when I choose a different theme such as 'black pit' (-> is 'minimalism')
...

Oh good the bars are gone.

The tags... gosh I'm kind of at a loss but let me think. Did you make sure all the questions before the coding box (for my layout) all say no? At times one of these not being set to the right answer can throw things off.

The tags are gone on the entries or the sidebar?

Okay so you are going to have to pick a Flexible Squares theme to use this layout and I think maybe try the Autumn FS theme as that's what it was made in.

Go to Customize the theme and then CSS...

Say no to all the questions and put in the coding so I can see you journal and see what is going on. Maybe redoing it will just help.

I checked that before so everything says 'no'.. :/
Did LOTS of research and use google too.. It seems that apparently all edit options plus add to memories etc. don't appear in flexible squares layouts... you can only edit this in paid accounts. meh... :/

Oh that sucks. I didn't know that since I have a Paid account. Hmmm... I'm really sorry. I haven't started learning how to code other layouts but I'm am planning on trying so check back.

Nah, it's okay :> So the problem is ...well kinda solved.
Also right now I'm using a computer from our university and saw that the bars indeed were advertisements. But because I've got a blocker at home I didn't see them properly.

Anyway I guess I'm still gonna use that layout of yours since I don't like others I found as much as yours.

I'm glad. Thanks. I'm glad you like the layout that much. Now, I know Flexible Squares has these limitations in basic. I started using it after I went to Paid so I never noticed.

Enjoy your layout. I'm hoping to have some other layout Themes going soon. I'm just perfecting the technique.
