This community is to help me and others find ways to make their journals look how we want them too.

I wouldn't say I'm an expert at messing with layouts though I have figured out a lot about Flexible Squares. If you have a question please feel free to ask me by commenting below.

Couple Rules:

1. And example of your problem or what you want done to your journal.
2. Sometimes it can take me a little while to find the information asked for, so please be patient.
3. I don't do slash-y type things (ie headers). I can still provide you with a layout but then header would have to come from somewhere else.

Very much so :D

I've visited your testing journal and have left my questions there.

But just to be more of a pain, I wanted to ask another question in regards to tiny icons for "previous,memories, tell a friend, next" and also for commenting parts like the anonymous id etc. I know that some of the icons have been changed in this layout but some have remained the default. I tried to change it by following these (http://community.livejournal.com/milou_en_avril/1663.html) instructions but since it won't save the changes when I do it, I'm quite sure I have messed it up somewhere.

I'm sorry for this lengthy question on top of what I've already asked but if you're able to shed any light on this, I'd once again, will greatly appreciate it!

Okay the tiny icons need to be in your PhotoBucket and then I can change and update the code for you.

I think this coding is for Flexible Squares and Smooth Sailing but you have Minimalism.

Hello, peeps. The below is the base code I copy-paste into my Flexible Squares layouts for replacing the tiny icons. You can also use this for minimalism and any other layout that has image buttons on the comments.
I read this part in the explanation and I thought that flexible squares coding could also be used with the minimalism??

But I did something wrong because pasting in that code and putting in my links for the icons, it wouldn't save for me.

I'll come back with the links of the icons *rushes off*

Less than stellar!? you managed to put in a header in the layout when it's not suppose to be there, for me, that's quite a stellar performance right there.

So does this mean that you don't require me to give you links to the tiny icons? (I can replace them with my own later yes? if you're able to figure out the problem)

I'm going to see what I can come up with. Maybe the maker knows the issue.
Would you like me to ask or is it better that you ask since it may go into technicalities that I don't possess the skill for?

I would actually still love to get the links. You only have to give me one if they are in the same folder or place in your photobucket because the beginning of the link is what I really need. That way I will know when it is ready for your copy and paste.

I asked because I'm hoping she and I will communicate smoothly. Who knows. I will let you know.

Is flexible square a very versatile layout since it seems that's the pick of the choice with the creators (I've seen many lovely works, the one that brought me here was your supernatural layout :D).

It is strange that it's not working when everything seems as it should...I hope that you'll be able to speak to the creator. If she asks who you're doing this for, tell her doumo_kun88 because I believe that I commented on her layout post with this username.

I just seem to prefer it for some reason. Of course, I've become so well versed in it so that helps. I need to mess with other layouts.

This will be great. I see what happens and I love the lightbulb and the lorry. So cute!

I do find that I often go with flexible squares or sometimes smooth sailing when I'm using a person's work :). The design is simple and clean.

I think there's no sense of coordination with my choice of icons :P, just chose what I liked. I like the lightbulb and the lorry too :D! famfamfam icons are so adorable~
