This community is to help me and others find ways to make their journals look how we want them too.

I wouldn't say I'm an expert at messing with layouts though I have figured out a lot about Flexible Squares. If you have a question please feel free to ask me by commenting below.

Couple Rules:

1. And example of your problem or what you want done to your journal.
2. Sometimes it can take me a little while to find the information asked for, so please be patient.
3. I don't do slash-y type things (ie headers). I can still provide you with a layout but then header would have to come from somewhere else.

LJ is dropping the ball a little and so community moderators aren't getting their comments. So if you don't hear back from me in a few days head over HERE to let me know if you need any help.

Where is this community. I can try making a layout. Maybe a header though that isn't always my talent. I can however get help through my art comm.

I don't know anything about Mass Effect or Shepard and Garrus so I need a little insight.

I don't make headers (that don't suck anyway lol) so I don't know if this would work with the above pics so it's up to you if you use it or not

Mass Effect is set in the future so they use lots of holograms so I was thinking the layout might have darker colors for the background and main stuff and then bright blues and oranges? maybe like how you did the Star Trek layout to look like a screen from the show, but I give you full artist powers. However you think it would look best. I found this picture that kinda shows the interfaces within the game

Even if you just stick with the 'simple' layout style that would be more than fine. We are just so excited that you are willing to try. Let me know what else you need.

As for the pictures. I fail at photoshop, but I'm not really crazy about the caption on the Shepard's (the female) so if there was a way to not show it that would be nice.

I'm not great with blending pictures. I'll see what I can do and if I'm not able I'll talk to a friend who I know rocks at it.

As for the layout I have a few questions...

Do you want it to be the general size of this journal?

Let me know one of these are to your liking or if you have some thoughts on look.

Also, I would like to know if you want journal entries/reply pages to look like the journal or if your would prefer the default look LJ provides?

I really like the Semi-Float style and it would be nice if the entries/reply pages matched the journal.

I like the size of your layouts, for some reason those super thin, shoved to the very left sided layouts bug me lol (like this one absonant).

Okay... real quick. Dark layout or light?

Light would more than likely have this white-ish background and a dark one could be gray or black. Let me know.

I'm glad you like the header... there is a slightly darker version over at workshop_rees. Check out the layout there and tell me if you love or hate it... or if there is anything you would liked changed. The sidebar is set up so you can see every option you'll have going. You won't have to have all of these turned on.
