Do you hate the new friends feed?

The much hated friends feed which will completely render the styling for the friends pages I do obsolete and mean they are just like places like Facebook which do not let you design your own corner of the world.

Go to LJ Releases new update to complain in a respectable and civil manner please.

I also recommend just not using it. Don't switch if you don't have to. I have mine as the older version and refuse to switch. I'm going to just deal with the little bar telling me I'm using the old version until I'm forced. I feel like if we continuing using the old friends feed and ignore the changes maybe they'll take a hint (probably not but worth a try).

I have a paid account and I've stuck it out so long that I'm getting really mad myself.

I seriously doubt they are going to give a rats ass too but this way they can't tell us we didn't say anything.

It's horrible. I complained awhile ago, and I never usually bother complaining about LJ stuff. I will have no incentive to come here if this goes through - I already have a Facebook account.

Exactly. I don't want another Facebook like account and that is what I told them on their post. It is so frustrating that they're doing this to us when I've not heard one person say they wanted it.

You can change it back to the old one... It's not permanent (yet)

Yes. I don't use the new one but eventually they will make int permanent and we'll be stuck so the idea is to let them know how we feel, en masse, right now. It is highly likely they won't listen but we can't say we didn't try.

This is why I'm still on Dreamwidth. Not perfect, I don't have all the friends I had over here, but a) many of them don't post anymore anyway and b) at least DW doesn't make sweeping unpopular changes and then proceeds to keep them, despite horrible design and buggy features.

LOL well they fixed that didn't they, permanently the way nobody wanted it. Good Job LJs! There's an article somewhere on the net of the owner of LJs saying he really doesn't care what the current users of LJs want his aim is to bring new younger users to LJs.

Mine is not permenantly the way I don't want it to be. At the top of mine it still says switch to the new verison. If I click it the new version says switch to the old. I'm sticking with old as long as possible.

I'd love to know where that is because I would comment that there is absolutely no reason why I can't turn that option off like you can with the comments pages.

oops I was thinking about the profile pages. I found article through somebody ranting in one of the LJs news thread awhile back wish I had book marked it. He didn't have a thing to say about current users except he hopes we introduce younger users to the site lol.
