Truth!

I'm all for telling a company what needs improving but I really dislike the negative or down right rudeness some employ to achieve their means. It never works. Respectful discussion is the best way to go.

I liked it. I do hope they include some quick tips on creating a journal.

Was pleasantly surprised! Mostly constructive crisism, not that extreme negativity that is usually what you find on their news posts... Getting close to my 11th year here on LJ, so I've seen my fair share...

And I agree with it to! The frontpage as is... It's just way to much of a mess for a new user at the moment. So I hope they will listen to that. And since these owners actually seem to listen to their users, I have hopes.

Yeah, it is nice to see. The owner(s) when I started out did that to, which just is prof how long I've been here... What I'm saying is, I'm just glad to see it happen again.

I never discuss the changes made though with anyone. Since I'm a 'roll-with-the-punches' kinda girl, I just check out the new features that has been implanted and then come to the conclusion I can use this and then not mind. Which apparently infuriates people and I've been called a lot of less then nice names thanks to that. :-P

That is me. I don't mind changes but if they are completely off the wall and crazy then I'm going to say something. I'm also always up for a helpful suggestion.

I haven't thankfully. I'm the type to roll with things but if someone gets nasty I can get testy. I don't like bullies and I don't take crap from people.

I'm not mean but I'm all for the idea that standing up for yourself is necessary.

True. There's just various ways of saying it, you know? I just got feed up with all the negativity and to be told I was wrong for not agreeing all the time. :-P

I definitly agree with everyting else you say though. :-D Mind if I friend you, btw? You seem awesomely nice. :-)

I hear you. I'm just the type not to take stuff from people. I haven't had that experience but even on my journal people have told me I'm wrong and I just tell them we can disagree. I try to avoid negativity.

Yay! :-D New friends! I'm not to horrible to be friended to on LJ. Nothing is locked on my LJ (only one post in soon to be 11 years...) and I am very very honest and sometimes a bit blunt. But with a big heart. ;-)

Never easy to avoid negativity I've learned. Especially online. I try to, as you say. But if it's impossible, I just break out the popcorn and whiskey so I can sit on the sidelines and enjoy the show. ;-)

I didn't know about this video but I really like it.

Overall, I really like the direction LJ is going to right now. I'm actually looking forward to see new updates. That recent communities page update was great.

I have to agree about the negativity in news posts. It's like some people just go in there without actually checking the content and reply with some kind of insult.

In the end, which social media platform actually asks their users and listens to them like LJ does now? Nothing comes to my mind immediately.

It is so true and people comparing LJ to other platforms isn't fair because it really is unlike anything else out there except maybe Dreamwidth which I'm not just that big of a fan of.

That's true. While I have an account at Dreamwidth, I haven't ever used it really. It's always looked like a cheap livejournal copy. I actually just went there and logged in and it looks like the old LJ style with different colours.
