No worries. We'll find the answer.

So not everyone is a LiveJournal expert (I swear I'm not either). And, of course, there are those out there that are learning this all for the first time. So here are a few things that have come up that I hope will help beginners and people who just hadn't figured it out yet. And yes, this is the second such post. The first just had a ton of comments and I wanted to clean things up.

Tutorials Index

I realized the Tutorial Section of Layout Lounge was starting to get large so I thought I'd make an Index to help everyone find what they are looking for. The majority of these tutorials are for Flexible Squares if they are for another layout theme it will be indicated. Also, tutorials with PAID after them indicate they are for paid journals only. I will continue to add new tutorials to this as I create them.

I want to tell you how I come up with a tutorial. Someone out there asks me a question and it dawns on me that while I know what they are looking for, some of you out there may not. So a tutorial is born. If there is something you wish to know how to do comment and let me know. I'll send you to a tutorial I've already made or another tutorial will be born.

I'm also willing to hear any suggestions for making a layout do something specific (i.e. rounded userpics). Of course, I can't promise everything is possible on LJ but I can see what I can do to implement those idea in the future.

How can I change the amount of Journal entries on my journal or friends page?

How do I change my Tiny Icons?

There is a strange block of color behind my layout. What is going on?

Why can't I get the Title and Subtitle to show up on my journal?

Is it possible to remove the Page Title from the Journal Title when I'm in my posts?

Header Section

How do I change the names of the links on my navbar?

My header image is multiplying itself. How do I stop it?

There is a large gap under my header image. How do I remove it?

Entries

Why isn't my userpic moving from Left to Right (or visa versa)?

Comments Page

I don't want my comments page to be customized. / I want to use the customizations my layout offers for my comments pages.

My userpics are fine but my comments aren't showing the threads. They are all the same width and are not indenting under each other.

Sidebar

How do I change the title of my sidebar sections?

How do I add a calendar to my sidebar?

I have the Calendar set to shwo up on my sidebar but it isn't working with your layout?

I have made multiple tags and want to change them. How do I edit my tags?

How do I add linked images to my sidebar?

I noticed you have two links sections. How did you do that?

How do I get rid of the sidebar all together and just have my entries?

I have my default userpic on my sidebar but how do I center and customize it?

Friends Page

I'm seeing a gap above my header image (between it at the account banner) on my Friends Page but not on my Journal's homepage. How can I get rid of the gap?

This community is to help me and others find ways to make their journals look how we want them too.

I wouldn't say I'm an expert at messing with layouts though I have figured out a lot about Flexible Squares. If you have a question please feel free to ask me by commenting below.

Couple Rules:

And example of your problem or what you want done to your journal.
Sometimes it can take me a little while to find the information asked for, so please be patient.
I don't do slash-y type things (ie headers). I can still provide you with a layout but then header would have to come from somewhere else.
I'm not currently taking requests for requests but I'm more than willing to help you figure out problems with coding.

LJ is dropping the ball a little and so community moderators aren't getting their comments. So if you don't hear back from me in a few days head over HERE to let me know if you need any help.

Not getting community comments...

I don't know if you've been having this issue but I have. I just discovered the problem after a little investigation.

Go to your Notifications. (Account >> Notifications)

Under the My Account section there are some notifications that have been unchecked in my account. I don't know if LJ added these or somehow they got turned off but now I should get the emails about these comments.

Make sure all yours are turned on to make sure your receive comments and replies from communities.
