I have used this layout, and I copied the code directly, only adding the link for my header image, and the background image. As you can see on my journal, I have this weird orangey-reddy-brown thing between where my actual posts sit and the background I chose. I don't know what it is, or how to get rid of it, and I was hoping you could help me with it!

I hate to say this but it is likely ads. Because you have a plus account you are seeing an ad placement which has gone haywire for some reason. Below is a link to a tutorial for LJ ads.

Yes. I have selected horizontal, as well as the third layout diagram (2 Column [sidebar on right]).

I'm such a dummy. I meant for you to make them vertical. Hopefully the ads will be in your sidebar out of the way.

I Really love this layout! I'm using the owl header and your current layout background image. How do i make the entries background a little less opaque? And what is the name of the font in the 70's theme? i can't seem to access the font tutorials.

You have to join the group to see the font tutorial because it had a download access and that is for members only.

What you are looking for for the opacity of each post is in the subcontent coding. That background says (0, 0, 0, 0.5) you'll want to bring the 0.5 up to 0.6 or higher.

70s? You mean #70 because that had two different fonts Capture it 2 and Lobster 1.4.

i've downloaded a bunch of the fonts after joining, just need to figure out where to input the font name into the code

What fonts to you want to change?

Because if you are looking to change the subject look for the part of the coding called ".subject"

In this it will have coding for "font-family". You'll want to put the font you want to use in the quotes so it will look similar to this:

font-family: "Lobster 1.4", arial, verdana;

Having default fonts after the one you want to use will make it so your text reverts to these if the person viewing your page doesn't have the main font in their computer system.
